When you get to the part where the executiones start coming out back up back to the entrance to the beach the boss will come right to you while the executioners won't be anywhere near you easy win.

Just be very patient. There are four or five moving groups of mobs that come into the clearing that leads to the narrow bit where the boss is. You need to clear them out one at a time before you pull the executioners. The trick is to wait, watch, and pull a group only when the other groups are moving away. But you can pull them without the boss, or, as said above, let them come out and wander off. But it's more fun to kill them...
Get used to this kind of gameplay. Being able to manage multiple groups of mobs is a key skill from this point on in the game.

I just stayed away from the entrance and killed off the various groups of skales and magoyles, then I went in and baited everything out of the swamp without triggering him. Then I let all the corpses dissolve (no bone-minons) and baited him out too and kicked his scrawny butt.

yes, kill every skale and mergoyle you can find before you go into the narrow area. I did it with another elementalist (I was 14, he was 17 I think)and henchmen, and we just power bombed the 3 executioners with everything we had, pretty much emptying our energy until they were dead. If the executioners are still alive (even one) when Timot arrives you're toast. When it was just Timot left, Stefan and Thorn tanked for us and we just kept at him till he fell over. I had failed more times than I could count without another live player though, you NEED to have repetitive splashing dmg to take out those executioners quickly.

it's tough as shit man (or ma'am...), but push at it! he's definately got the creepiest arrival of any other bosses I've seen, and I haven't fought anyone tougher yet.

The key is baiting. Use a ranged weapon to draw them out.

It's really weird how he enters. Then the executioners slowly make their way to you. At first your killing the weak mergoyles. Then while your getting beat on by those guys (who I personally thought was harder than the boss). You see this green glowing guy on a horse slowly come out of the darkness into view. Taking his time walking towards you watching his executioners leave corpses for him to make an army with.
Neat effect I thought.

Well we finaly managed to do it. But the next one i tried made that look like a piece of cake. It was the villany of someone or other for a lousy 500xp we had to travel though 5 areas with hordes of lvl 16 to 20 mobs. We got to the end but as usual got swarmed by silly amounts of things. These makes the assend missions look VERY easy in comparsion.

No they don't, because you can always just zerg a quest over and over, with 60 DP, if need be. Basically, if you and your party, be they people or henchies, can kill a single monster before every single one of you has wiped, then you can complete the quest. Missions are uniquely different in that a wipe means you must start over.

W/Mo. I got trashed my first time (Of Course) and kept at it...until we hit DP -60%...I forget the level I was at at the time.
Later I joined a random group and came equipped with circle of wrath, bane signet, banish. We picked off the skales and margoyles first giving ourselves some room...then waded into the swamp. Circle of wrath did wonders on the trio of executioners and the bane signet put Timor on his horses' kiester. Between my smite skills and a Warrior heavy group, we just pounded them into dust.

had exactly the same problem last night
died a couple of times and when I came back he was nowhere on the map
had to leave the area and come back (starting all over again)
but yes best tip is to bait and kill everything in the area first

This quest probably took the most attempts of any so far (I'm currently at Riverside Province) because Lord Timot rides off into the sunset if you don't kill him quickly enough. I was trying to pull the executioners after killing everything else, but Timot kept coming out, too. I finally noticed the executioners were already walking in my direction without me doing anything so I just kept backing up a little until they came out into the opening. After they were dead, Timot wasn't too bad. My character is a Me/E and the rest were henchmen.

When you die he run to Gate of Kryta. If you killed everything in the map before going to Lord Timot, you just have to run in the direction of the mission outpost and you'll catch him up.

Just did this last night with henchies. N/Mo kinda breezed through it I have to say. If you stay far back enough then minions and henchmen will not attack. And with this build, who cares? Hench dies, res a minion from his corpse, res hench. Its pretty much what I'm doing ATM. Kinda funny, real players may feel 'violated' by me doing this....
Anyway, just wait out the executioners advance, pound them to smeg and attack the big evil dude before he runs off. Took a while for him to die, bring a glass of wine or something. Patience is the key.
You want a real challenge, there's a mission outside of beetletun holding off an undead assault. Try it! Fun fun fun. Should be worth 1000exp IMO.

Yeah, I've done that one. And the Lord Timot one with my necro/ranger too. But I could have sworn I killed every mob in that zone after dying right when Timot showed up the first time. I couldn't find him anywhere.
Does Timot show up even if you don't attack the executioners? I tried that later, just backed up and let them pass by and go on their way, but couldn't find Timot that time either. I think he doesn't spawn until you attack the executioners.
